Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the GoMate platform. By creating an account or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use GoMate. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement. We reserve the right to verify your age and suspend accounts that do not comply.

2. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You may not share your account with or transfer it to another person.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information in your profile.
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
  • Use GoMate for commercial solicitation or spam.
  • Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the platform.
  • Create multiple accounts or use the platform while banned.
  • Impersonate any person or entity.

4. Subscriptions and Credits

  • GoMate offers monthly subscription plans that grant credits for platform features.
  • Credits may also be purchased as top-up packs.
  • Subscription credits expire if not used within the billing period. Top-up credits remain valid for the period stated at purchase.
  • All payments are processed securely via Stripe. Prices are listed in Euros (€) and include applicable taxes.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • We do not offer refunds for unused credits or partially used subscription periods, except as required by applicable law.

5. Matching and Events

  • GoMate's AI-assisted matching is based on your questionnaire answers and preferences. We do not guarantee any specific match results.
  • Participation in events may require credits. Credits spent on events are non-refundable.
  • We reserve the right to cancel or modify events and will refund credits spent on cancelled events.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of content you upload (photos, text). By uploading content, you grant GoMate a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it within the platform for the purpose of providing the service. We do not sell or share your content with third parties.

7. Prohibited Content

You may not upload content that is illegal, sexually explicit, violent, hateful, or that infringes third-party intellectual property rights. Violations may result in immediate account suspension.

8. Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or pose a risk to other users or the platform. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.

9. Limitation of Liability

GoMate is provided "as is". We make no warranties regarding the availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose of the service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, GoMate shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

10. Privacy

Your use of GoMate is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Athens, Greece.
